Wow, yesterday was a fantastic day at CyFair ISD. I handed over the certification sticker to the last group of educators from the Three Phases of Blended Learning Certification Course! What a big moment. That means that we now have 60+ educators that are ready to train, coach, and implement The Three Phases of Blended Learning Model into the classrooms around CyFair and the country.

What is the Three Phases of Blended Learning Certification course?

The Three Phases of Blended Learning Course is a six module onsite or online course that educators can take to learn more about how to implement blended learning in their classroom, at their school, or throughout the district.  The six modules cover the following concepts.
Module One: Overview of the Three Phases of Blended Learning
Module One will start with the three key elements to constructing a blended learning environment.  The essential keys include having a vision, use of time, and generating a support system.  Developing a concept of blended learning comprises understanding the definition of blended learning and taking time to redesign the learning environment.

Module Two: Phase One of Blended Learning
Module Two will explore how to develop and deploy a Phase One lesson plan.  By breaking apart a traditional lesson plan into four areas, the educator will be able to use a Phase One lesson plan within any classroom setting
Module Three: Leveling Up to Phase Two
Module Three will examine the importance of developing a growth mindset within the learning environment as the classroom moves to a Phase Two learning environment.  In this module, the participants will learn about data folders, differentiated checklist, a deployment plan, and the critical elements to Phase Two.

Module Four: Moving to Phase Three
Module Four will examine in-depth how to implement student-generated checklist within the classroom to allow students to work at his/her own pace and to take ownership of their learning. The teacher will also develop and deploy a Phase Three checklist that includes a Project-Based Learning option.
Module Five: Student, Parent, and Colleague Buy-In
Module five will showcase how to generate buy-in of the Three Phases of Blended Learning process with students, parents, and work colleagues.  This module will provide strategies, talking points, and sample data points from classrooms that have successfully deployed the program

Module Six: Resources and Strategies
Module six will provide educators with more daily resources and guides for blended learning.  From possible classroom layouts, blended learning posters, and a month by month deployment plan, Module six is a combination of coaching items that Marcia Kish has deployed over the last eleven years of coaching.
